Mica Blocks
 | At Jai Mica, mica blocks are available in a wide range of sizes like ruby mica blocks, green mica blocks and can be cut according to the specifications required by the clients. We employ a team of highly skilled technicians who manually grade and cut the mica blocks to ensure zero-defects in the finished product. These blocks are fabricated into a myriad range of products having numerous applications in diversified fields.
The dressed sheets of mica with a minimum thickness of each sheet 0.18mm (0.007 inch) is called Mica Blocks. It is graded according to the quality as Clear(CC), Clear & Slightly Stained(CL&SS), Fairly Stained(FS), Good Stained(GS), Heavily Stained(HS) and Densely Stained(DS). Mica sheets are available in irregular shapes due to natural occurrence and are obtained in between the area range of 4.8sq.cm to 650sq.cm (0.75 sq. inch to 100 & up sq. inch). Average sheet thickness of each mica blocks varies in between 0.18 to 0.40mm (0.007 inch to 0.016 inch). |
Mica Splittings
 | Pieces of medium quality mica having a thickness of less than 1 mil are classified as mica splittings. Our mica splittings are renowned for their superior quality worldwide. We supply these splittings either in 'Book-form' type or 'Loose' type known as book form mica splittings, loose mica splittings. Our book form mica splittings are in great demand, as they are used to manufacture micanite, which is used as an electrical insulator. |
Fabricated Mica
 | Fabricated mica applies to cutting & punching of natural mica sheets to a specified shape and thickness for electrical and electronic end-uses.
Most of the fabricated mica mechanisms are custom built against provided specifications and drawings. The fabrication is performed by using foot or power presses with the help of compound dies. The mica may also be hand-sheared & drilled. They are produced into innumerable designs varying in size, pattern, thickness and quality.
Our range of fabricated mica comprises of mica discs, mica washer, mica condenser and backing mica. |
Mica Scraps
 | Mica scrap is the nomenclature given to the irregular lumps of mica as received from the mines having an area between 1/2" and 1 1/2" sq. We export mica scrap mainly to plants all over the world to be made into a pulp used for the manufacturing of mica paper and reconstituted mica plates. It is also used as a raw material for the manufacture of mica flakes and mica powder.
There are two forms which are in demand generally; one is the tested/ruby mica ccrap (good for calcinations) & another is the untested/white mica scrap (not good for calcination).
The various qualities we deal in mica scraps are A, B, C & D. |
Mica Flakes
 | Mica flakes is mica scrap grinded into sizes ranging from 2 mesh to 30 mesh. We prepare natural mica flakes mainly by the means of rotary hammer crushing machine (Pulvigator) in which the mica is beaten till such time that the required size is not achieved. Grinded into various sizes from pure muscovite mica, our natural mica flakes are greatly sought after by industries involved in manufacturing of pearlescent pigment, concrete block fillers, refractory bricks, asphalt roofing felts, metals explosives and disinfectant etc. We also manufacture Untested Mica Flakes for which the raw material used are the untested/white mica scrap. There are basically three qualities we are producing at our factory; Super Mica Flakes, Normal Mica Flakes & 2nd Mica Flakes. |
Colored Mica Flakes
 | This is the newest entry to our products list thanks to our in-house research team. We are now producing colored mica flakes & powder.
There are two types of colored mica flakes that we are producing; Calcined-Colored Mica Flakes & Normal Colored Mica Flakes. The former being calcined prior to the coloring process. It helps the color-effect to be more bright & enduring & the second one being just colored mica without calcining it. Natural mica flakes is mixed with special dye/color along with epoxy resin to give it a permanent/wash-proof color. |
Calcined Mica Flakes/Powder
 | Calcined mica flakes and calcined mica powder is produced by calcining Mica, at 850 degree celsius by K-Oil treatment method. It is used in pearlescent pigment industry. We produce both calcined mica flakes and calcined mica powder of any required mesh size. |
Mica Powder
 | Mica powder in various forms is obtained by grinding/breaking mica scrap, which is a slow, costly and extremely complicated process, because of the scrap being tough and having a plate like structure. We take meticulous care and precaution that there is no deterioration in its natural brilliance, color and properties. Our factories for processing varieties of mica powder & are fully equipped with latest pulverizers.
We produce a varied range of natural mica powder, from 20 Mesh to 400 Mesh & below. There are basically two qualities of mica powder - Super-White & Normal-White, which is classified based on their color & brightness. |
Silvered Mica
 | Silvered mica are cut into specific shapes and thickness and thoroughly cleaned with the help of de-greasing agents and are then silvered on both sides by screen printing process. There is perfect adhesion between mica and silver which results in optimum performance of the plates.
Variations on thickness of the silver deposited affect the dissipation factor of the plate, while the overlapping print area of the silver (electrode) and the thickness of the mica (dielectric) control the capacitance of the plate. Individual plates are used in the manufacturing of single film mica capacitors. |
